Cyanotypes require time, experimentation, and uses the actual light source that these plants need to sustain their lives to develop the print itself. The result is a shadowy and ethereal effect where the image is like a silhouette or a ghost of something that was once full of life. These images use both dried and fresh flowers picked from my garden and pressed under a pane of glass over the cyanotype chemicals to produce the final result.
